About The Artist

ARTIST Background

In 1977 born to a young  interracial couple in the south, my childhood was far from a fairytale. Looking back I can honestly now say I'm THANKFUL as I  know it just built character. One of my most fond memories was watching my grandfather paint. I can remember as young as four yrs old I would often  sit and watch him for hours.  His landscapes, seascapes,  and all that he created were done with such  precision as he listened  to classical music and painted ever so meticulously.  Obviously  I began to  dabble in art often painting with my grandfather  through out my youth I would draw and paint I had such a love for CREATIVITY . In 9th grade I had an awesome art teacher MRS.TEAGUE.  I sold my first piece  THANKS to her for $500 at the local STATE FAIR. Unfortunately  circumstances and situations in life did not allow my art ambitions to flourish until years later.  I had actually  been  in a dark place due to sustaining the loss of many close loved ones including my grandfather . I was going through a tough time and one day  my grandmother  reminded me that my grandaddy had left me some ART and an EASEL  and said "you know he always did think you were special with that creative side, he would LOVE for you to PAINT again! " So...  I did just that I went out in the garage picked up that easel took it home and I have been at it ever since! CREATING !  NOW I bring to you my JOURNEY  through LIFE .on canvas!

My Medium

I use many different mediums, such as oil, acrylics,  and  even spray paints.    I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style and can call for something so much different than the next.  I like variety,,, they say its the spice of life!

My Inspiration

I truly love to create art, God was and is the ultimate creator and artist. He created my son and he is truly my everything so to show my gratitude I create not only to build a legacy for my son, but also to be an inspiration too him and other KIDS growing up to let them know IT'S OK to BE YOU and  FOLLOW YOUR HEART and  GO AFTER YOUR DREAMS and do  what makes you  HAPPY!
